Terms of Use

The MyCarPast service is provided by Renan Barbosa da Silva, an individual professional with registered activity in Portugal ("we", "MyCarPast"). Contact: contact@mycarpast.com.

By creating an account or continuing to use MyCarPast, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

MyCarPast allows you to register your vehicle's maintenance history and share it through a public link that you can generate and revoke at any time. The service is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for the truthfulness of the data provided and for the confidentiality of your password. All activity on your account is your responsibility.

You may not use the service for:

• Illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes;
• Sending spam, malware, or abusive content;
• Infringing on intellectual property rights or the privacy of third parties;
• Attempting to compromise security, probing, scraping, or circumventing technical limits of the service;
• Sharing third-party data without their consent.

You retain ownership of the content you submit (photos, invoices, maintenance records). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable license, strictly necessary to store and display this content within the scope of the service.

The software, brand, graphic design, and all elements of MyCarPast are the property of Renan Barbosa da Silva or the respective licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers rights over these elements to you. You may not copy, decompile, reverse engineer, or resell the service.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.. Stripe handles payment processing, calculation, collection, and remittance of VAT (including EU OSS), as well as fraud prevention and chargeback management. On your bank statement, the charge may appear as MYCARPAST or LINK.COM* MYCARPAST.

Payment terms, billing, automatic renewal, and cancellation are subject to our Terms and applicable law. Refunds follow our Refund Policy. Subscription matters can be managed in Settings.

As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw within 14 days of subscription without providing a reason (DL No. 24/2014). By starting to use paid features immediately, you authorize the commencement of the service within this period and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. Our 30-day money-back guarantee also applies, see Refund Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, in the event of: material breach of these Terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated violations of our policies. You can delete your account at any time in the Settings, deletion is permanent and removes all your data.

MyCarPast is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential damages or loss of profits, data, or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for intent, gross negligence, or personal injury where prohibited by law.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of data provided by users and are not responsible for buying or selling decisions based on information presented here.

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law. For any dispute, the courts of the district of Lisbon shall have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights. You also have access to alternative dispute resolution through the European Commission's ODR platform.
